At BlueCross BlueShield of Central New York, we understand that many of your employees may still prefer the flexibility, choice and convenience provided by our traditional indemnity coverage. Our fee for service medical plans have been developed and adapted throughout our 60-year history to meet the changing needs of our members. These comprehensive benefit plans provide coverage for most healthcare services using a simple, single payment formula.

Hospitalization benefits are paid-in-full in member hospitals and medical/surgical benefits are paid-in-full when you choose from our extensive list of participating physicians. And, master medical benefits, such as prescription drugs, physical therapy, home healthcare and medical supplies, are covered after the deductible has been met.

Our traditional plans also provide comprehensive coverage for well child services, maternity care and newborn inpatient care.
